Designing learning experiences
My work focuses on creating learning experiences that are both purposeful and practical. I approach projects by balancing learner needs, organisational context, and the realities of delivery environments.
Rather than focusing only on content, I aim to design systems that support learning, from structure and sequencing to facilitation and evaluation.
Values that guide my work include:
-
- → Integrity in action
- → Growth as a mindset
- → Connection as a way of being
Design Principles
Clarity Comes Before Complexity
Learning experiences should be structured so that learners can quickly understand what matters and why.
Learning Through Application
Opportunities to practise, discuss, and apply ideas are built into the design wherever possible.
Design For Real Environments
Learning must work within organisational constraints such as time, systems, and operational realities.
Project management and delivery
Designing effective learning experiences also requires strong project management. Learning initiatives need clear structure, realistic timelines, and alignment between stakeholders, facilitators, and organisational goals.
- → Training needs analysis
- → Stakeholder alignment
- → Learning experience design
- → Facilitation planning
- → Evaluation and iteration
Coaching and facilitation
Coaching and facilitation are central to how I approach learning. I aim to create environments where people feel comfortable exploring ideas, sharing experiences, and applying learning to their own contexts.
By encouraging reflection and discussion, learning becomes a collaborative process rather than a one-way transfer of information.
My approach combines learning design, facilitation, and structured project delivery — creating learning environments that are practical, engaging, and aligned with organisational goals.
